Holywood Star by Eamon Nancarrow
This autobiography was published by Xan through Showcase UK in November 2009 and has already entered the hearts of many people. Every week someone new will tell Eamon that he has written the funniest book they have ever read.
One woman recently told him told that re-reading a few of her favourite chapters sets her up for a great weekend. Others have related moments when the book has helped them through times of trouble and distress.
Eamon’s story is a humorous, sometimes burst-out-loud account of a life trying to make it as a rock star. From an early encounter with Van Morrison in late 70’s Belfast to running a rock bar in East London seems to hop from one calamity to another in the company of some of the most colourful characters rock ever attracted to it’s fold.

CD Release
Following the success of the Showcase UK nights at the Soul Cellar, Xan Phillips joined forces with Julian Aplin from Angry Badger Records in 2009 to producer a compilation CD of south coast acts titled: “Showcase Sett”.
